With an “in the trenches” approach, I use my depth of knowledge to bring public awareness to the scope and scale of this global crisis and the profound effects of this crime on victims and their communities.

My expertise includes how institutions such as the Roman Catholic Church, public schools, and other organizations cover up and enable child sexual assault; the role parents play in prevention; and how to eradicate and end the cycle through emerging technology and strong victim-friendly legislation.

I am a founding member of the board of directors of the Zero Abuse Project, a leading US nonprofit dedicated to protecting children from abuse and sexual assault, by engaging people and resources through a trauma-informed approach of education, research, advocacy, and advanced technology.

As the Chief Content Officer with SpotTheLine, I have helped to create innovative software and apps that identify and prevent sexual harassment and predatory grooming/child sexual abuse. With such technology, I've had the opportunity to speak across the US and Europe on digital accountability and transparency.

I've also worked with numerous organizations dedicated to stopping child sexual assault, child sex trafficking, and sexual assault within institutions and remain a sought-after speaker across the globe addressing schools, universities, governmental organizations, corporations, parents, NGOs, conventions, and civic groups on all aspects of child sexual abuse prevention, healing, and the exposure of the cover-up.

My wildly successful TEDx talk is being used by therapists in the clinic setting to help survivors of abuse and assault.

In The Well-Armored Child: A Parent’s Guide to Preventing Child Sexual Abuse (RiverGrove Books), The Compassionate Response: How to help and empower the adult victim of child sexual abuse, and The Power of Responsibility (based on her TEDx talk.), I offer tools and strategies for the masses. My writing has been featured in The Orange County Register, Parenting.com, The Los Angeles Times, and hundreds of other blogs and magazines nationwide. I am also a former member of the adjunct faculty of the UCI School of Law.
